About the Social Class Network

Social class matters in organizations

Social class is commonly understood as a person’s place in the societal hierarchy that reflects differences in access to resources.

Whereas research in medicine, pedagogy, psychology, and sociology has shown that social class influences many dimensions in peoples’ life, in management studies it has received very little attention. This is the reason why SCON was established.

SCON is an international and interdisciplinary network of scholars interested in understanding the impact of social class on organizations and their respective environments. We gather information about relevant literature, workshops and other events to facilitate international research collaborations. Join the network and contribute to the SCON development!
